The Hyde Park Thunderbirds will square off against the Marian Catholic Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marian Catholic took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hyde Park, who comes in off a win.

Hyde Park's tournament run continued when they took on Evergreen Park on Sunday. Hyde Park snuck past Evergreen Park with a 69-65 win. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Marian Catholic ended up a good deal behind Oswego East on Monday and lost 67-53.

Hyde Park is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Marian Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
