Recap: Logan vs. Hill City

After a dominant victory in their matchup last Friday, the Logan Trojans were humbled on Tuesday. The contest between Logan and the Hill City Ringnecks was not particularly close, with Logan falling 59-42. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 76-47 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head earlier this month.

Hill City found their leader in underclassman sophomore Derek Keith, who had 19 points along with seven boards. That's the most points Keith has had all season. Senior Jacob Lindenman was another key contributor, picking up 14 points in addition to nine rebounds.

Logan's overall record fell to 12-7. The win was the sixth in a row for Hill City and raised their record to 11-7.

Logan will stay at home against Wheatland-Grinnell Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game. The Ringnecks will be playing at home against Plainville Friday. Plainville took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Hill City's good fortune.
