Basketball Recap: Stearns Takes a Loss

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Stearns was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a blow against the Katahdin Cougars, falling 73-23. The Minutemen have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Stearns' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Katahdin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stearns will square off against Penquis Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Katahdin, they will be playing at home against Southern Aroostook at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Southern Aroostook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
