Baseball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 15-4 to the Vina Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Friday.

Phillips got a big performance out of Jax Hall, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Spencer Mobley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Vina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Phillips will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Waterloo at 11:00 a.m. Vina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
