Basketball Game Preview: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Spring Hill Broncos

Ottawa is on a eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Spring Hill is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Ottawa Cyclones will host the Spring Hill Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Ottawa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ottawa beat Bonner Springs 57-51. The 57-point effort marked the Cyclones' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Spring Hill strolled past Louisburg with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-41. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Wildcats are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ottawa's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Spring Hill, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.

Ottawa was able to grind out a solid victory over Spring Hill in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 46-33. Will Ottawa repeat their success, or does Spring Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
