Basketball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown lost against Lancaster back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jamestown Red & Green lost 78-52 to the Lancaster Legends. The Red & Green were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-25.

It was another big night for Madison Francis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 44 points, 16 rebounds, and nine steals for Lancaster. Francis' evening made it 39 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Jamestown now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lancaster, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

The future could be bright for both Jamestown and Lancaster: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Jamestown will try to hand Williamsville North their eighth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Lancaster will look to extend Clarence's five-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
