Softball Recap: Seattle Prep Takes a Loss

Seattle Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 5-1 to the Bishop Blanchet Bears. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Erica Daher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Hayden Downer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Seattle Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. Bishop Blanchet has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Seattle Prep has already played their next contest, a 16-3 defeat against Garfield on the 19th. As for Bishop Blanchet, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-6 win against Kennedy Catholic on the 19th.
