Interstate 35's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Wayne Falcons get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Roadrunners have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Interstate 35's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wayne, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Interstate 35 will head out to challenge Des Moines Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayne, they will venture away from home to square off against Southwest Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
