Bergen Catholic had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pascack Hills Broncos a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bergen Catholic's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pascack Hills, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.
