Softball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland fell victim to Winter Haven and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Winter Haven Blue Devils. If the Dreadnaughts were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Winter Haven, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Coming up, Lakeland will square off against Ridge Community at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Winter Haven, they will face off against Mulberry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Winter Haven surely won't give up without a fight.
