Coal City waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Lisle Lions. That's two games straight that the Coalers have won by exactly four runs.

Gabe McHugh was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Kellen Forsythe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Coal City's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Lisle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1.

Looking ahead, Coal City will challenge Plano at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Coalers are facing the Reapers at the right time seeing as the Reapers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Lisle, they will square off against Life Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
