North Tahoe lost to Pershing County back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Lakers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lakers.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (92-82) North Tahoe actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 7-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.

Sienna Hartman paced North Tahoe's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hartman got some help from Dawna Li and her 17 assists. Li was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Pershing County lost, don't look at Jaymie George. Despite the final result, she had 20 assists and nine digs.

North Tahoe's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Pershing County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

North Tahoe has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Oasis Academy on the 30th. As for Pershing County, they will take on Yerington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
