Preview: Florence Buffaloes vs. Blanco Panthers
Florence is 0-10 against Blanco since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Florence Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Blanco Panthers at 7:20 p.m. Florence has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
Florence suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Llano at home and fell 65-19. Florence was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Blanco, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-35 loss to Ingram Moore on Tuesday. Blanco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Florence's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Blanco, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Florence might still be hurting after the 63-42 defeat they got from Blanco in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Florence, Devin Newsome (who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
