Softball Recap: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Bonneville Lakers
Bountiful never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bonneville on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Lakers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 back in April.
Ella Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Claire Yates was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Kamryn Rasmussen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bountiful was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only posted a batting average of .310.

Bountiful pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Bonneville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
Bountiful will welcome Riverton at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The RedHawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silverwolves have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season. Bonneville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
