Penncrest won the last time they faced Springfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Penncrest.

Luke Merino and Douglas Kinner scored both of Penncrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Penncrest's win bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Springfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
