Baseball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights vs. Line Mountain Eagles
After flying high against Sugar Valley Rural last Friday, Neumann Regional Academy came back down to earth. The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights fell just short of the Line Mountain Eagles by a score of 9-7 on Monday. Even though they lost, Neumann Regional Academy's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Neumann Regional Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Wright, who went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lajon Dizard, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Neumann Regional Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Line Mountain, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15.
Neumann Regional Academy will take on Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Line Mountain, they will head out on the road to square off against East Juniata at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Line Mountain is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
