Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Texas City on Tuesday, Santa Fe came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Ball Tornadoes by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tornadoes earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Trenton Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Baccinelli, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Ball, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-18 record.

As of now, neither Santa Fe nor the Tornadoes have any future games scheduled.
