Ricardo Romo put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Wednesday. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Back of the Yards College Prep on Wednesday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Romo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
