Selma hasn't had much luck against Kingsburg recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Selma is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Selma couldn't beat Yosemite on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Bears fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 10-9.
Matheo Roque was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Luna, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Kingsburg nor Dinuba made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Vikings came out on top against the Emperors by a score of 5-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Emperors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Nick Lindgren looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jensen Hirschkorn was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Eric Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Kingsburg's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Selma, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
