Baseball Recap: Bishop's Takes a Loss

Bishop fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Maranatha Christian on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Tuesday.

Aiden Skoblar made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Bishop's dropped their record down to 12-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Maranatha Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

While Bishop's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
