Baseball Game Preview: Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans vs. Superior Panthers

The Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the Superior Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Gilbert Classical Academy has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 2nd.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gilbert Classical Academy's offense. They lost 13-0 to Horizon Honors on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Superior might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Ray who claimed the real prize. The Panthers fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 5-4. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Superior saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raiden Sommer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Gilbert Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Superior, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Gilbert Classical Academy might still be hurting after the 10-2 defeat they got from Superior when the teams last played on Friday. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
