Basketball Recap: Whitefield Academy Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Whitefield Academy extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Noel Smith. The Whitefield Academy Wildcats claimed a resounding 51-13 win over the North Oldham Mustangs thanks in part to Smith, who went 11 for 18 on her way to 25 points and eight steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Whitefield Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Braffet, who posted six points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Those six steals gave her a new career-high.

Whitefield Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for North Oldham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Whitefield Academy will take on Pulaski County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitefield Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season. As for North Oldham, they will head out to take on Boyle County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
