Basketball Recap: Roseland Collegiate Prep Takes a Loss

Roseland Collegiate Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Willits Wolverines, falling 54-16. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Willits' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kate Winter led the charge by putting up four points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Winter a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Arion Martin, who went 5 of 9 en route to 10 points and five steals.

Roseland Collegiate Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Willits, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Roseland Collegiate Prep will take on Credo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Willits, they will face off against Calistoga at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Willits' defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Calistoga's offense will have their work cut out for them.
