Softball Recap: Cheboygan Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Cheboygan had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Kalkaska on Monday. The Chiefs blew past the Blazers 14-6. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Cheboygan's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kalkaska, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
