Basketball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Tuba City Warriors

The Page Sand Devils will face off against the Tuba City Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Page is headed into Monday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Monument Valley on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Tuba City posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over Window Rock. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Page better keep an eye on Natasha Acothley. She was instrumental in Tuba City's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Acothley is becoming a predictor of Tuba City's success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 9-3 (and 5-6 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Trece Tsingine, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Tuba City was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Tuba City's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Page, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Page skirted past Tuba City 46-44 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Page repeat their success, or does Tuba City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
