Volleyball Recap: Crescent City Raiders vs. Trenton Tigers

Crescent City waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Trenton Tigers. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 defeat the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

Crescent City was staring down a 1-0 deficit headed into the second set, but they rallied to take the next three for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-20, 15-9.

Crescent City found their leader in underclassman Reagan Chayer, who had 15 digs and four aces. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for her.

The victory got Crescent City back to even at 7-7. As for Trenton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Crescent City will face off against First Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trenton, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. The last three games Trenton has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
