Softball Recap: Orofino Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Orofino came out on top against St. Maries on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Maniacs took their matchup against the Lumberjacks 10-7. The Maniacs haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Kennedy Coleman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Rilee Diffin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orofino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.

Orofino's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for St. Maries, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Orofino will square off against Genesee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Maries does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
