Softball Recap: Belvidere County Seaters vs. Bound Brook Crusaders
Belvidere had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-2 to make it six. They lost 14-2 to the Bound Brook Crusaders. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
As for Bound Brook, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.
For Bound Brook's part, they let Rachael Gurczeski and Kathy Reyes run wild. Gurczeski went 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs, while Reyes got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Gurczeski a new career-high. Ava Dedousis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
