Softball Recap: Summit Takes a Loss

Summit fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 16-0. The Storm have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mountain View, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Summit will take on Redmond at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountain View, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Caldera at 4:30 p.m. Mountain View's pitchers better be ready for this one: Caldera has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
