Volleyball Recap: Wapsie Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Wapsie Valley can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Warriors not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

While Wapsie Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-23.

Taylor Buhr paced Wapsie Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Buhr got some help from Tessa Brunscheon and her 29 assists. Buhr was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Wapsie Valley's win bumped their record up to 22-17. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

As of now, neither Wapsie Valley nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
