Callaway suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Callaway Chargers vs. Ridgeland Titans

The Callaway Chargers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Ridgeland, falling 79-48. Callaway was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-22.

Leading Ridgeland to victory were Morris Hammond and Phil Nelson. Hammond scored 19 points along with two steals, while Nelson scored 27 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ebo Wilson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Callaway bumped their record down to 10-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ridgeland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Callaway will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Vicksburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Ridgeland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
