Softball Game Preview: Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles vs. South Park Eagles

Keystone Oaks is 1-6 against South Park since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Golden Eagles will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Keystone Oaks has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Keystone Oaks couldn't beat McGuffey on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Golden Eagles fell 11-6 to the Highlanders.

Keystone Oaks saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myla Zaborowski, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Evie Kyper was another, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one double.

Meanwhile, South Park put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand East Allegheny an 18-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

South Park's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.2 runs this season. As for Keystone Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Keystone Oaks might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from South Park in their previous matchup last Monday. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
