Softball Recap: Basic Comes Up Short at Home Against Shadow Ridge

Basic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs on Thursday, falling 16-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Basic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Kilar, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Basic will square off against rival Green Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Doral Academy Red Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
