Having just played yesterday, the Murray Spartans will jump right back in to play the Lehi Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Murray lost 87-62 to Layton on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Despite the defeat, Murray got top-tier performance from Damani Wilkerson, who went 10 of 21 on his way to 28 points. Wilkerson's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyce Wilson, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Even though they lost, Murray smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Lehi made off with a 59-58 win over Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 26th in Utah, while the Tigers are ranked 168th in Florida), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lehi's win came from a few key players Murray will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Easton Hawkins, who had 16 points and five rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Hawkins, who put up 15 points and six rebounds.
Lehi is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Murray, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Murray has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Lehi struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.7 rebounds.
