Basketball Game Preview: Estero Wildcats vs. Dunbar Tigers

The Estero Wildcats will square off against the Dunbar Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Estero came up short against Fort Myers and fell 77-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (61), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Estero got some senior leadership from Ashton Peterson and Andrew Tetrault. Peterson posted 16 points, while Tetrault put up 12 points. The game was Peterson's third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerald Lashley, who earned eight points.

Meanwhile, Dunbar also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lehigh by a score of 64-56. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Lightning: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Estero fell to 2-1. As for Dunbar, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
