Baseball Recap: Caliche Gets the Win

Caliche hadn't done well against Akron recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Rams by a score of 12-8. This was payback for the Buffaloes, who suffered a 14-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Blaine Farquhar, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Caliche is undefeated when Farquhar posts three or more hits, but 0-8 otherwise. Colton Cochran was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Caliche kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matchups.
