Football Recap: Balboa Buccaneers vs. Lowell Cardinals
Balboa had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Lowell Cardinals 47-0 on Saturday.
Diamond Altamirano was nothing short of spectacular for Lowell: she threw for 210 yards and four touchdowns while completing 79.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 39 yards. Hannah Sheleigh Tandoc got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The victory made it two in a row for Lowell and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Balboa will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while.
