Basketball Recap: Big Walnut Takes a Loss

If Big Walnut was riding high fresh off their 66-23 takedown of Worthington Kilbourne last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Walnut Golden Eagles took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westerville North Warriors on Friday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Big Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Westerville North, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Walnut and Bishop Watterson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Big Walnut's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Westerville North, they will face off against Worthington Kilbourne at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
