Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Find Success

Providence Academy hadn't done well against Lavaca recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Providence Academy Patriots managed a 45-41 victory over the Lavaca Golden Arrows. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Providence Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lavaca, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Providence Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenland at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Lavaca, they will take on Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lavaca is facing Charleston at the right time seeing as Charleston is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
