It was a good run, but Miller Career Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East St. Louis Flyers.

East St. Louis found their leader in sophomore Tyrik Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Barnes has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Montreal Stacker, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Miller Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for East St. Louis, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12.

Miller Career Academy has already played their next matchup (against O'Fallon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East St. Louis will head out to face off against Urbana at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Urbana will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East St. Louis surely won't give up without a fight.
