Albany Academy for Boys has gone a perfect 10-0 against Schalmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cadets will head out to square off against the Sabres at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Albany Academy for Boys' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They skirted past Troy 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cadets.

Willie Kimbler was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Kimbler was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Kimbler wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Staff, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Staff has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Schalmont had just enough and edged out Amsterdam 6-5 on Thursday.

Albany Academy for Boys' record is now 3-5. As for Schalmont, their record now sits at 5-6-1.

Albany Academy for Boys took their victory against Schalmont in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Will the Cadets repeat their success, or do the Sabres have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
