Basketball Recap: Providence Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Providence Cristo Rey lost against Indianapolis Metropolitan back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Providence Cristo Rey Wolves took a blow against the Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas, falling 84-21. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Indianapolis Metropolitan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kwame Hawkins, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javon Glaspie, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

Providence Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Cristo Rey will venture away from home to face off against Eminence at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they will head out to square off against Victory College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indianapolis Metropolitan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.5 points per game this season.
