Soccer Recap: Laguna Creek Comes Up Short

Laguna Creek lost against Sheldon back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laguna Creek Cardinals fell 3-1 to the Sheldon Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 888th, while the Huskies are ranked 153rd).

Laguna Creek is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Sheldon, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Elk Grove the next time they take the pitch. Sheldon will host Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025, while Laguna Creek will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
