Basketball Preview: Coudersport Falcons vs. Galeton Tigers
Coudersport is 10-0 against the Tigers since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Coudersport Falcons are on the road again and plays the Galeton Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on February 6th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Wednesday, Coudersport suffered a tough 79-59 defeat at the hands of the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Coudersport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Raiders are ranked 264th).
Meanwhile, Galeton waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 win over Oswayo Valley.
Coudersport's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Galeton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Coudersport didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coudersport since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
