Football Recap: Swainsboro Triumphs Behind Punishing Ground Game + How To Watch

Swainsboro had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Bacon County Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-21. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Marco Danford was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Swainsboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 405 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Bacon County's loss came despite strong showings from Amar'E Ryals and Scottland Hennesy. Ryals picked up 91 receiving yards and one score, while Hennesy threw for 219 yards and one TD.

Swainsboro's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Bacon County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
