Soccer Recap: Western Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Western was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. The only reason Western dodged a loss was the performance of Bruno Miralles, who scored every single goal for the team.

Western's draw makes their record 2-2-1 this season. Meanwhile, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's record is now 0-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western will head out to take on St. Joseph Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western will need to watch out since St. Joseph Central have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they will venture away from home to challenge Portsmouth West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
