Recap: Flint Hill Huskies vs. Souderton Indians

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Flint Hill finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Souderton Indians. The loss was Flint Hill's first of the season.

Mackenzie Murdock spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Flint Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jane Stanley, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and a run. Stanley is crushing it when it comes to triples: she's hit at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Flint Hill will play host again on Tuesday to welcome St. Catherine's, where first pitch is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. St. Catherine's will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Flint Hill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Souderton, they will head out on the road to square off against Upper Perkiomen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
