Piqua falls despite strong effort from Isaiah Martin

Recap: Piqua Indians vs. Stebbins Indians

The Piqua Indians were the 59-46 winner over the Stebbins Indians when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Piqua fell to Stebbins 33-27. Piqua has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Piqua lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah Martin. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Piqua were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stebbins only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Bryson Bishop was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jessiah Brown was another key contributor, scoring five points.

Piqua now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Stebbins, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.

Piqua's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Stebbins, they will be playing at home against Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
