New Brockton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They put the hurt on the Luverne Tigers with a sharp 14-4 victory. This was payback for the Gamecocks, who suffered a 9-8 loss the last time these two teams met.
James Downing was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two).
