Football Recap: Alex Asatrian Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

It's playoff time, and Fresno Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Laton Mustangs get on the board and left with a 42-0 win on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Fresno Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Asatrian, who rushed for 110 yards and two scores on only ten carries. Asatrian's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. Bryce Smith was in the mix as well, providing Fresno Christian with two touchdowns.

Fresno Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Asatrian and Hayden Spurrier. Asatrian got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Fresno Christian's record is now 11-0. As for Laton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Looking ahead, Fresno Christian will challenge Immanuel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Laton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
